Coffee with Fee

Oh my god, would you look at this photo!!

Fiona and I had coffee this morning and when we came back to my apartment we found this old, and I mean old, photo. We are both in shock at what we look like.

BUT if you follow the links to Fiona's blogspot you can see how much Fiona has changed.

You will just have to look a little further down the page to see what I look like now.

Let me know the answer to this question.....long hair or short hair????

An English Christmas

India and I are very excited because we are off to England for Christmas!!!

We leave Australia on the night of the 8th of December and will fly via Singapore to London, Heathrow Airport.

India has so many things that she wants to do on top of seeing her family. India wants to go to the Natural History Museum to see the dinosaurs, the house that Mary Poppins worked in, the Houses of Parliament, and as many palaces as she can fit in. Quite the tourist. I am sure that her blog site will be absolutely teaming with photos.

But what does India really want to do at Christmas......play in the snow! Fingers crossed for that one.

Back in the Saddle

After an abscence of almost 11 years, I finally got back in the saddle...the horse saddle that is. Though I am not so sure that following a 30 minute riding lesson with two hours cycling was such an inspired decision. Yeah yeah I ache in all the right places but I think it is more from the vicious bike seat than from the comfortable GP saddle that was on my mount Snowy.

Snowy was a very gentle giant who at one point I did wonder if he had fallen to sleep under me, a quick tap of my own leg with the crop soon woke him up, poor old fella.

Anyway, I wasn't as rusty as I thought I would be and India was suitably impressed with her Mum's horsewomanship. Thank heavens I didn't fall off and humilate her!!

What's Got Three Wheels and Four Legs?

India and her Mummy and their bike! Isn't it cool, India just loves it and this morning at 9:30am we did a test bike ride all the way to India's school. It only took us 12 minutes which was not bad going for a first attempt.

Next week our road will be closed off to cars so it makes it very difficult to get to and from school, but now we have the bike and India's little Alleycat Trailer bike on the back everything is great!

India would spend all day on the bike if she could, but I expect the novelty might wear off a bit if it starts to rain!

Happy 6th Birthday India

India turned six on the 18th of September, but two days before on the 16th India had a party with her friends to celebrate.

The party was held at a bowling alley and India asked all her friends if they could dress like fairy princesses. India looked beautiful in her "Pirates of the Carribean" dress which Jan, Lauren and "Max the Dog" had sent for her birthday.

A big thank you for all the presents that everyone sent, India now needs a bigger bedroom to get everything in! Posted by Picasa

Shaggy Pony Story

Winter has turned India's little pony Trigger into a woolly wild thing! Would you just look at his coat, it is so hairy that it makes him look really scruffy. But you know what, India loves him just the same. Posted by Picasa

Teddy Vegas Goes To Cornwall

This UK Summer Teddy Vegas went camping in Cornwall to Pentewan Sands with his friends, Josie, Jonathan, Larry and Josie. India had to stay home in Australia and we all missed her.

Teddy Vegas bought himself a new jumper which said Pentewan on the front. He looked very smart.

Birthday Book Awards

On Wednesday India and her class had parade at school. Parade is exactly the same as an English assembly.

India was called to the front by the librarian and presented with two library books that she will be able to keep for one week to mark the passing of her birthday. We paid the library $11 earlier in the week and went in and chose two books that India might like to have at home. In the photo India has just been presented with the books along with other Birthday Club children.

After the presentation India's class sang a song called "Dem Bones" and all the kids stood on stage and did the actions, they really enjoyed themselves.

Miss Long Legs

India has grown so much! Although whilst away I saw India on the webcam all the time I only really saw her upper body and on my return I was amazed to see how long her legs are!

India will be 6 years old on the 18th of this month but already she is almost 127cms!

India's front teeth are now growing in, which is great as it makes it easier for her to eat. She is concious of smiling with her teeth missing which is a shame as she looks great.... but then I am her Mum.

Quest For The Golden Seal

India now has a years pass to Sea World, thanks to her Mum who saved the vouchers from the back of the shopping receipts. This means that India can meet her friend Mikaela after school or at the weekend and go to Sea World without having to pay any money to get in!! How fantastic is that?

We took time out to see the "Quest For The Golden Seal" show and sat on the very front row of the audience . India was surprised when they selected her out of the crowd to go on stage with the Sealion.

Here you see India shaking hands with Louie. When India sat down next to me I asked her what it was like to shake hands with a seal? She replied that it was nice but he smelt a lot like fish!

Well done India.

Josie & India

I took this photo a couple of years ago but I thought I would post it as I really love it and I feel it captures India and I so well.

Hope you enjoy it!
