Coffee with Fee

Oh my god, would you look at this photo!!

Fiona and I had coffee this morning and when we came back to my apartment we found this old, and I mean old, photo. We are both in shock at what we look like.

BUT if you follow the links to Fiona's blogspot you can see how much Fiona has changed.

You will just have to look a little further down the page to see what I look like now.

Let me know the answer to this question.....long hair or short hair????

An English Christmas

India and I are very excited because we are off to England for Christmas!!!

We leave Australia on the night of the 8th of December and will fly via Singapore to London, Heathrow Airport.

India has so many things that she wants to do on top of seeing her family. India wants to go to the Natural History Museum to see the dinosaurs, the house that Mary Poppins worked in, the Houses of Parliament, and as many palaces as she can fit in. Quite the tourist. I am sure that her blog site will be absolutely teaming with photos.

But what does India really want to do at Christmas......play in the snow! Fingers crossed for that one.

Back in the Saddle

After an abscence of almost 11 years, I finally got back in the saddle...the horse saddle that is. Though I am not so sure that following a 30 minute riding lesson with two hours cycling was such an inspired decision. Yeah yeah I ache in all the right places but I think it is more from the vicious bike seat than from the comfortable GP saddle that was on my mount Snowy.

Snowy was a very gentle giant who at one point I did wonder if he had fallen to sleep under me, a quick tap of my own leg with the crop soon woke him up, poor old fella.

Anyway, I wasn't as rusty as I thought I would be and India was suitably impressed with her Mum's horsewomanship. Thank heavens I didn't fall off and humilate her!!

What's Got Three Wheels and Four Legs?

India and her Mummy and their bike! Isn't it cool, India just loves it and this morning at 9:30am we did a test bike ride all the way to India's school. It only took us 12 minutes which was not bad going for a first attempt.

Next week our road will be closed off to cars so it makes it very difficult to get to and from school, but now we have the bike and India's little Alleycat Trailer bike on the back everything is great!

India would spend all day on the bike if she could, but I expect the novelty might wear off a bit if it starts to rain!
